What is Vault at DiceCity?
Vault is a pick-and-reveal game from the DiceCity Originals. Thirty gold bars lie face down. You pick between 1 and 5 of them, choose a difficulty and bet. Every bar turns over to show its multiplier, and you win the average of the bars you picked.
The difficulty decides what the bars can hold. Easy bars always pay something, from 0.2× to 10×. The harder levels hold more empty bars and much bigger ones, up to 50×, 200× and 3,000×. Each bar is drawn on its own, so the number of bars you pick does not change the return. What it changes is the swing: one bar stands alone, while the average of five bars tends to land closer to the middle.

How do you play Vault?
- Choose a Difficulty: Easy, Medium, Hard or Expert.
- Click 1 to 5 bars, or press Random. Clear picks starts again.
- Enter your stake in Bet amount. The smallest bet is worth $0.10, and ½ and 2× halve or double it.
- Press Bet, or press Space.
- Every bar on the board turns over, so you can see all 30 multipliers.
- You are paid your stake times the average of your picked bars, rounded down to 0.0001×.
What are the odds and payouts?
Each bar draws a ticket out of 100,000, and the ticket falls into one value by its weight:

On every difficulty a bar is worth 0.99 of the stake on average, so Vault returns just under 99% over time for any number of picks, a house edge of about 1%. Rounding the average down costs a hair more with three picks than with the others. These are long-run averages; your session will swing around them, and more on Expert than on Easy.
Any single bet pays at most $10,000. In real-money play a Max bet note under the bet field shows the limit for your difficulty and picks.
Is Vault fair?
Yes. All 30 bars come from DiceCity's provably fair seeds:
- Server seed hash. Before you bet, you see the SHA-256 hash of a secret server seed, which fixes every bar in advance.
- Your client seed. Your own input. Change it to any text up to 64 characters.
- The nonce. The bet's number on your seed pair, starting at 0.
- How the bars are drawn. HMAC-SHA256 of the server seed with your client seed and nonce gives 30 numbers, one per bar in board order. Each is scaled to a ticket from 0 to 99,999, which falls into one value of the difficulty's table.
- Checking after you rotate. Rotate the seed pair to reveal the old server seed and start a new pair at nonce 0. Hash the revealed seed, compare it with the hash you saw, then select it under Previous seeds and recheck any bet in the Verify tab.
Because every bar is fixed by the seeds, which bars you pick does not change what is under them.
Vault uses the same seed pair as Crates, Cases and most other DiceCity Originals, so one rotation covers them together. Plinko keeps a pair of its own.
What settings can you change?
- Difficulty. Easy, Medium, Hard or Expert.
- Picks. Click bars, use Random, or Clear picks.
- Manual or Auto. One bet per press, or a series.
- Random picks each bet. In Auto, a fresh random set of bars every round, or the same picks.
- Number of bets. How many rounds Auto plays; 0 keeps going until you stop.
- On win and On loss. Reset the bet, or raise it by a percentage.
- Stop on profit and Stop on loss. Auto stops at either result.
- Sound and Fairness. The speaker button, and the key button for seeds and Verify.
- Page controls. Favourites (S), Live stats, Theatre mode (T) on wider screens and Full screen (F).
Tips for playing responsibly
- Set your budget before the first bet. DiceCity's responsible gambling page has a budget calculator.
- On Hard and Expert, a single bar is usually empty. Five picks smooth the result but do not lift it.
- Easy never pays 0×, but its most common bars are 0.2× and 1×, so many rounds still lose.
- In Auto, add a Stop on loss.
- Changing your picks after a loss does not help; no bar is luckier than another.
- Use Live stats to keep track, and take breaks.
