Who is responsible
The data controller, responsible for your personal data, is the operator of DiceCity:
. Write to support@dicecity.com with any question about it.
What we collect
Your account. Your username, email address and password (we store only a scrambled hash of it, never the password itself), whether your email is confirmed, the invite you joined with and who invited you, and the link or campaign tag you arrived through.
Sign-in providers. If you sign in with Google, Discord or Telegram, we receive the account ID, name, username, email address and profile picture that provider shares with us. We never receive your password for those services.
Wallets and transactions. The deposit addresses we give you, the withdrawal addresses you enter, every deposit, withdrawal, bet, win, tip and reward on your account, with amounts, coins, dates and blockchain transaction IDs. Blockchain transactions are public by nature. We check withdrawal addresses against public blockchain data services to spot fraud and money laundering.
Games. Your bets and their results, the seeds that prove each result, your balances, duels, leaderboard places and reward progress.
Chat. Messages you post in public chat are shown to other players and stored by us, so we can moderate them.
Your character. The choices you make on the character step and the "three words about you" you may add. We check the words, then send the choices and words to an image-generation provider to draw your pictures. The picture you pick becomes your profile picture, which other players see.
Device and fraud checks. Your IP address and the country it points to, and a device fingerprint taken when you sign up and sign in: a device ID worked out from your browser, plus your browser type and version, language, time zone, screen size and the page you came from. We use these to stop people opening several accounts, to find stolen accounts and to meet anti-money-laundering rules.
Identity checks. If we ask you to verify your identity, you send your ID document and a photo or video of yourself to Veriff, an independent verification provider. We receive and keep the result and the details needed to show the check was done.
Support. What you write to support, and our replies.
Analytics and outside services. The site can load the services below. Each one runs only when it is switched on for this site:
- PostHog (off on this site right now): product analytics, error reports and session replay (invite codes and secret fields are masked). Stores a ph_
_posthog cookie and local storage entries. - Google Analytics (off on this site right now): visit statistics. Stores _ga and ga
cookies. - Ahrefs Web Analytics (off on this site right now): visit statistics for search. Stores nothing, as its provider describes it.
- Intercom (off on this site right now): the live support chat. Stores intercom-* cookies.
- Cloudflare Turnstile (off on this site right now): checking that a sign-up or sign-in comes from a person, not a script. Stores short-lived cookies set by Cloudflare during the check.
- Google Sign-In (off on this site right now): signing in with Google, when you choose it. Stores cookies set by Google on its own domain.
- Telegram Login (off on this site right now): signing in with Telegram, when you choose it. Stores cookies set by Telegram on its own domain.
Why we use it
- To run your account and the games: signing you in, keeping your balance, paying out, proving results. We need this to provide DiceCity to you.
- To keep DiceCity safe and lawful: age and identity checks, fraud and multiple-account checks, anti-money-laundering checks, and records we must keep by law.
- To improve DiceCity: understanding which pages and games are used and what breaks, where analytics are switched on.
- To contact you: messages about your account, security and withdrawals. If we send you marketing email, you can ask us to stop at any time.
We do not sell your personal data.
Who we share it with
- Companies that run parts of DiceCity for us: hosting and content delivery, email delivery, identity verification, image generation, blockchain data services and, when switched on, the analytics and support services listed above. They may use your data only to provide their service to us. Some of them process data outside your country.
- Other players see your username, profile picture, chat messages, and bets and wins shown in public feeds and leaderboards.
- Authorities, courts or regulators, when the law requires it or to protect players and DiceCity from fraud.
- A new owner, if DiceCity or its operator is sold or merged.
How long we keep it
Fixed retention periods will be published here together with the operator details. Until then:
- account, transaction, game and fraud-check records are kept while your account is open, and after it closes for as long as anti-money-laundering, tax and accounting rules require and as long as we need them to handle complaints and disputes;
- chat messages are kept while the chat history is kept on the site;
- analytics data is kept for as long as the analytics service is set to keep it.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you can ask us to:
- tell you what personal data we hold about you and send you a copy;
- correct data that is wrong;
- delete your data, where we are not required to keep it;
- stop or limit how we use it, or object to a use;
- give you your data in a format you can take elsewhere;
- withdraw a consent you gave.
Email support@dicecity.com from the address on your account. We may need to confirm it is you before we act. Some records we must keep by law even if you ask us to delete them; we will tell you which. You can also complain to the data protection authority where you live.
Keeping it safe
Passwords are stored only as hashes, the site uses encrypted connections (HTTPS), and you can turn on two-factor authentication in your security settings. No system is perfectly secure: if you think your account has been accessed by someone else, change your password and email support@dicecity.com.
Children
DiceCity is for adults only. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If we find that a player is under age, we close the account.
Cookies
What the site stores in your browser is set out in the Cookie Policy.
Changes to this policy
When this policy changes, the new version is published here with its date. If a change matters to you, we will tell you on the site or by email.
