What is Wheel at DiceCity?
Wheel is a spin-and-see game from the DiceCity Originals. You pick a wheel of 10, 20, 30, 40 or 50 segments and a risk level, then spin. The wheel stops on one segment and pays its multiplier. Every segment is equally likely to come up.
The two choices shape the whole game. Risk decides how the prizes are spread: Low pays something small on most segments, Medium mixes larger prizes with empty segments, and High puts one big prize on a single segment and nothing on the rest. The number of segments matters most on High, where a bigger wheel means a bigger prize that is harder to hit. The coloured chips under the wheel show every multiplier on the wheel you picked.
DiceCity is invite only and for adults 18 and over. Use the invite link a citizen sent you, or sign in, to spin on this page.
How do you play Wheel?
- Choose Segments: 10, 20, 30, 40 or 50.
- Choose a Risk: Low, Medium or High.
- Look at the multipliers on this wheel, shown under it in their colours.
- Enter your stake in Bet amount. The smallest bet is worth $0.10.
- Press Bet, or press Space, and the wheel spins.
- It stops on one segment, and you are paid your stake times that segment's multiplier. Your recent spins stay on screen.
What are the odds and payouts?
The top prize on each wheel:
| Segments | Low | Medium | High (1 segment) | High's chance |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 10 | 1.5× | 3× | 9.9× | 1 in 10 |
| 20 | 1.5× | 3× | 19.8× | 1 in 20 |
| 30 | 1.5× | 4× | 29.7× | 1 in 30 |
| 40 | 1.5× | 3× | 39.6× | 1 in 40 |
| 50 | 1.5× | 4.5× | 49.5× | 1 in 50 |
On Low, every block of 10 segments holds one 1.5×, seven 1.2× and two 0× segments, so 8 spins in 10 pay something, though 1.2× is still close to your stake. On Medium, half the segments pay 0× and the other half pay between 1.5× and the top prize. On High, all segments but one pay 0×.
On every wheel the multipliers add up to exactly 0.99 times the number of segments. With each segment equally likely, that makes every wheel return 99% over time, a 1% house edge. The figure is a long-run average, not a promise about a short session.
Any single bet pays at most $10,000, and in real-money play a Max bet note under the bet field shows the limit for your wheel.
Is Wheel fair?
Yes. Each spin comes from DiceCity's provably fair seeds:
- Server seed hash. Before you bet, the game shows the SHA-256 hash of its secret server seed, which fixes the seed in advance.
- Your client seed. Your own input. It begins random, and you can set it to any text up to 64 characters.
- The nonce. The bet's number on your seed pair, from 0 upwards.
- How the segment is picked. HMAC-SHA256 of the server seed with your client seed and nonce gives one number, which is scaled to a segment from first to last. The wheel's animation simply shows where that number landed.
- Checking after you rotate. Rotate the seed pair to reveal the old server seed and begin a new one at nonce 0. Hash the revealed seed, compare it with the earlier hash, then choose it under Previous seeds and replay any spin in the Verify tab.
Wheel uses the same seed pair as Dice, Cases and most other DiceCity Originals, so one rotation covers them together. Plinko keeps a pair of its own.
What settings can you change?
- Segments. 10, 20, 30, 40 or 50.
- Risk. Low, Medium or High.
- Manual or Auto. One spin per press, or a series.
- Number of bets. How many spins Auto makes; 0 means until you stop.
- On win and On loss. Reset to the starting bet, or increase it by a percentage.
- Stop on profit and Stop on loss. Auto stops at either result.
- Sound and Fairness. The speaker button, and the key button for seeds and verification.
- Page controls. Favourites (S), Live stats, Theatre mode (T) on wider screens and Full screen (F).
Tips for playing responsibly
- Set your budget before the first spin. The budget calculator on DiceCity's responsible gambling page helps.
- Low risk feels steady, but a 1.2× win on a $1 bet only adds 20 cents. Small wins add up slowly, and so do losses.
- On High with 50 segments you can expect long runs without a win. The top segment comes up 1 time in 50 on average.
- Use Stop on loss in Auto.
- Raising the bet after a loss does not change where the next spin lands.
- Check Live stats from time to time, and take a break when you need one.
