What is Manholes at DiceCity?

Manholes is a pick-a-hole game from the DiceCity Originals. There are seven holes. Before you bet, you choose how many of them are hits each round, from 1 to 6. Then, round after round, you pick one hole. Pick a hit and your multiplier rises and the game goes on. Pick an empty hole and the round ends with the stake lost. You can cash out after any hit.

The twist is that the hits move every round. Where they were last time tells you nothing about where they are now, so every pick is a fresh chance. Fewer hits per round make each pick risky but push the multiplier up quickly. With six hits out of seven, most picks succeed and the multiplier climbs gently.

How do you play Manholes?

Choose the number of hits per round, from 1 to 6.
Enter your stake in Bet amount. The smallest bet is worth $0.10.
Press Bet, or press Space. Where the hits are in every round is decided at that moment.
Pick one of the seven holes, or use Random pick. The panel shows what the next hit would pay.
After a hit, pick again or press Cashout (or Space) to take your stake times the current multiplier.
An empty hole ends the round. A hit in the last round cashes out for you: that is round 8 with one hit per round, and round 9 otherwise.

What are the odds and payouts?

After n hits the multiplier is 0.99 × (7 ÷ hits per round) to the power n, rounded down.

The last columns are hard to reach. Even with 6 hits out of 7, all nine rounds come off only about a quarter of the time. With 3 hits, it is about 5 times in 10,000.

Every way of playing returns just under 99% over time, whether you cash out after one hit or go all the way. That figure is a long-run average, not a promise for one game.

Any single bet pays at most $10,000. In real-money play a note under the bet field shows the multiplier at which wins stop for your stake.

Is Manholes fair?

Yes. Every round's hits are set from DiceCity's provably fair seeds before your first pick:

Server seed hash. Before you bet, you see the SHA-256 hash of a secret server seed. It fixes the hits for every round of the game.
Your client seed. Your own input. Change it to any text up to 64 characters when no game is in play.
The nonce. Your bet's number on the seed pair, counting from 0.
How the hits are placed. HMAC-SHA256 of the server seed with your client seed and nonce gives a stream of numbers. For each round in turn, they choose that round's hit holes from the holes still free.
Checking after you rotate. Rotate your seed pair to reveal the old server seed and begin a new pair at nonce 0. Rotation waits until your game is over. Hash the revealed seed, compare it with the hash you saw, and see every round's hits in the Verify tab.

Manholes uses the same seed pair as Mines, Chicken and most other DiceCity Originals, so one rotation covers them together. Plinko keeps a pair of its own.

What settings can you change?

Hits per round. 1 to 6, chosen before each game.
Random pick. Picks a hole for you.
Manual or Auto. Pick by hand, or let Auto play a set number of rounds and cash out each game.
Rounds per bet. In Auto, how many rounds to play before cashing out, on the hole you choose or a random one.
Number of bets, On win and On loss. How many games Auto plays, and whether the bet resets or rises by a percentage.
Stop on profit and Stop on loss. Auto stops at either result.
Sound and Fairness. The speaker button, and the key button for seeds and Verify.
Page controls. Favourites (S), Live stats, Theatre mode (T) on wider screens and Full screen (F).

Tips for playing responsibly

Pick your cash-out round before the game starts.

With one hit per round, about six picks in seven miss.
In Auto, add a Stop on loss to the number of rounds.
No hole is luckier than another, and raising the stake after a miss changes nothing about the next pick.
