What is Roulette at DiceCity?
Roulette at DiceCity is single-zero European roulette from the DiceCity Originals. The wheel has 37 pockets, numbered 0 to 36. You place chips on the table, spin, and every chip that covers the winning number pays.
The table works the way most players know it. Inside bets cover one number or a small group of neighbours and pay more. Outside bets cover big groups such as red, odd or a dozen, and pay less but win more often. You can spread chips across many spots in one spin, and the total of your chips is your stake. With a single zero, every bet on the table has the same return over time.
DiceCity is invite only and for adults 18 and over. Open the invite link a citizen sent you, or sign in, to play on this page.
How do you play Roulette?
- Pick a Chip value from the row of chips.
- Click a spot on the table to place a chip: a number, the line between numbers, a corner or an outside bet. Hover a spot to see which numbers it covers.
- Undo takes the last chip off, Clear empties the table, and right-click removes the chips from one spot.
- Check Total bet. That is your stake for the spin.
- Press Bet, or press Space, and the wheel spins.
- The ball lands on one number, and every chip covering it pays. Your chips stay on the table for the next spin.
What are the odds and payouts?
A chip covering k numbers pays 36 ÷ k times its value back, including the chip itself.
| Bet | Numbers covered | Pays | Win chance |
|---|---|---|---|
| Straight up | 1 | 35 to 1 | 2.70% |
| Split | 2 | 17 to 1 | 5.41% |
| Street or trio | 3 | 11 to 1 | 8.11% |
| Corner or first four | 4 | 8 to 1 | 10.81% |
| Six line | 6 | 5 to 1 | 16.22% |
| Column or dozen | 12 | 2 to 1 | 32.43% |
| Red, black, odd, even, 1 to 18, 19 to 36 | 18 | 1 to 1 | 48.65% |
The zero joins 1, 2 and 3 in splits, the two trios and the first four. It is not part of any outside bet, so red, odd and the other even-money bets all lose when the ball lands on 0.
Every bet returns 36/37 of what you stake over time, 97.29%, a house edge of 2.71%. That is the standard single-zero figure, and it is an average over many spins, not a prediction for the next one.
Any single bet pays at most $10,000. In real-money play the page shows a Max bet for the chips on the table, and you can place up to 100 different bets in one spin.
Is Roulette fair?
Yes. Each spin comes from DiceCity's provably fair seeds:
- Server seed hash. Before you spin, the game shows the SHA-256 hash of a secret server seed. It fixes the seed before any chip is placed.
- Your client seed. Your half of the input. You can change it to any text up to 64 characters.
- The nonce. The spin's number on your seed pair, starting at 0.
- How the number is chosen. HMAC-SHA256 of the server seed with your client seed and nonce gives one number, scaled to a pocket from 0 to 36. The wheel's animation shows that result.
- Checking after you rotate. Rotate your seed pair to reveal the old server seed and begin a new pair at nonce 0. Hash it, compare it with the hash you saw, then pick it under Previous seeds and replay any spin in the Verify tab.
Roulette uses the same seed pair as Baccarat, Wheel and most other DiceCity Originals, so one rotation covers them together. Plinko keeps a pair of its own.
What settings can you change?
- Chip value. Choose the chip you place with each click.
- Undo, Clear and right-click. Remove the last chip, all chips, or one spot's chips.
- Keyboard on the table. Enter or Space places a chip on the focused spot; Backspace or Delete removes it.
- Manual or Auto. Spin once, or let Auto replay the chips on the table.
- Number of bets. How many spins Auto plays; 0 keeps going until you stop.
- Stop on profit and Stop on loss. Auto stops at either result.
- Sound and Fairness. The speaker button, and the key button for seeds and Verify.
- Page controls. Favourites (S), Live stats, Theatre mode (T) on wider screens and Full screen (F).
Tips for playing responsibly
- Decide how much you will spend before you place a chip. DiceCity's responsible gambling page has a budget calculator.
- Covering more of the table does not beat the house edge. It only swaps big rare wins for small frequent ones.
- Every spin is independent. A colour that has not come up for a while is no more likely next time.
- If you use Auto, set Stop on loss so the replays end where you planned.
- Adding chips after a loss raises the cost of being wrong, not the chance of being right.
- Watch Live stats, and step away when you need a break.
